I'm sitting here watching NHRA Powerade at Vegas on one of my monitors, on the other, I'm clicking "Refresh" over and over again on NHRA Sport Compact's site.

Just saw Tony P become the first new Funny Car Champ in over a DECADE!!!

 

who did he beat J. Force or Dean Skuza.
i saw those two battle it out a few weeks ago at the fall nationals.

force won that one.

 

It was Tony and Whit Bazemore in the finals and they both had a HELL OF A RIDE they were both backpeddling the cars all the way down the track and tires were shaking from the get go great race Tony deserves it for all the hard work him and John force racing. Also this is the first champian in a DECADE that isn't john force. for him

 

Pedregon almost won last year, but Force beat him by one race and took the Champoinship. Force wanted Pedregon to win it, but it didnt happen.

 

It was a awesome final

it was a great final, congrats to Tony Pendregon and the rest of the Jonh Force racing camp.

Rumor has it that Tony will not be running with John Force next year. I heard that Tony, Frank and Cruz will be doing a deal so that they can all be on the same team. to the Pedregon family.

Did anyone see him at the NOPI race in Fontana? I heard he was there.

darn good final. does it make you good when you can pedal 7000 horsepower

 

hell yeah .. that was great, even more so when you saw how emotional he got ... words true to the heart.

Apparently that's what they want to do but no official announcement yet, at least I don't think. For what it's worth, that final with Tony and Whit was one of the best drag races I've seen in a LONG time. Excellent driving on both sides.

After the final when they were talking to Force i do believe that i heard something in there about Tony leaving John Force racing

he said i hope someone good picks him up for next year.
