Default CALLING ALL 96 CX Hatch owners!!!

i am thinking about buying a midori green 96 cx hatch tomorrow. with full interior... is there a lot of road noise in these cars? i had a 94 cx and you had to shout to the person riding passenger at like 80 on the highway w/ windows up, radio down and all. it was horrable. and full interior..

HOW LOUD IS YOUR FULL INTERIOR HATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks

and what is the engine code for the cx/dx. one has the d16y7, one has d15b8?

is there a difference with sound deadening in the dx and cx models? so you didnt have to have your radio turned WAY up to barelly drown out the road noise... and im not talking about hearing the exhaust... just road noise.. couldnt even talk on my cell phone going down the highway cuz it was SO damn loud...only thing i was missing was the cargo cover in the back panels....thanks by the way

anybody else?

DX- Have tar from front to back
CX- Think it is just under the front seats..could be wrong.

Remember it's a Honda...not a Lexus.

i expect to hear a little.....but my old hatch was rediculous.my cd player was maxed out at 35...turned up to 29 with just some 6 1/2's i could still hear the road noise tone over the music...i do expect to be able to have a conversation with my girl w/o almost shouting...thanks for the replies.

hmm,i drove 6 hours home when i bought my car, never noticed it being loud at all......sat for two weeks before i put it on the road. i tried jacking it up to put in a short shifter one day before i got it registered...and caved in the passenger side floor like an idiot not using the jack points. maybe i just cracked all the sound deadener in mine. i never noticed another car being as loud...and it was loud on stock tires, pirelli's on ls's, toyo's..whatever...

looks like ill be buying me a nice clean midori green hatch crap tomorrow...
