What do you think a 2002 TL-S with the Comptech S/C, full custom system in the trunk and chrome 19's would run on a 90 degree night at about sea level?

 

If it is a 6spd, then it would be a great car.

An automatic tranny would suck on it. Honda has been having problems with their automatic transmission.

 

I didnt think there was a manual in the TL

 

There is no such thing as a Manual TL

Until Nov, when the new 2004 TL with the 6spd rolls off the trucks.

 

oops I suppose I should have added what you guys think it would do on the 1/4....

anyhow no the TL didnt have manual but the CL did and yes the new TL will be coming out with the 6th speed....went for a test in one...I must say they are really nice very european styling but I think they improved the look of it overall and thats what Acura was going for when they designed the new TL...more aggressive looks inside as well as in(note the new carbon fiber look details in the interior versus wood grain and chrome in the old TL)...I believe they are going more for performance with this TL.


Does anybody happen to know if they make different kinds of housings for the headlights....for the 02 TL?

Acura needs to go back to naming their cars like the Legend, Vigor, Integra.

 

not much better than stock with the weight and larger wheels. a stock TL-s runs 0-60mph in 6.5 secs. so you might get 6.0 secs. you'll have a better top speed due to the circumference of the tires and weight is not as much of an issue.

 

so about low 15s right.....well I ran a 15.3 exactly in the stated conditions and only once...a dude even said he ran better times with that w/out the S/C and full system I find that incredibly hard to believe but supposedly he ran a 15 flat consistently with a couple bolt ons no s/c and a system in his trunk.....I dunno I havent drag raced for over 2 years but how hard is it to drag a automatic right?...so hence me asking you all what you would think this car would run....I dunno i suppose I shouldnt worry too much its actually my b/f's car but I would like to get him a decent time slip so he'll be able to post it up on the car somewhere when we take it to shows(it is a show car to be honest)

 

a stock type-s should run 14.9 stock. should....
