How to pull your needle off of the gauges?

I am trying to change my gauge faces, how do I get the needle off?

pull it as hard as u can.....no u dummy...needles don't come off when installing gauges....u simply slide the gauge in at the necessary angle the needle goes into the little hole in the center of the gauge at a sideways angle and then press the face down onto the original face make sure there is double sided tape on it tho.
