Default Hybrid brake setup on 94 Si 4x100 ITR

Edit- for those wondering, I do NOT have ABS

Well, I did this awhile ago, but never had pics taken cause I don't have a digi cam right now.

Here's the setup

GSR spindle/fork with H&R extended lugs
1/8th inch prestige wheel spacers
ITR rotors redrilled to 4x100
Prelude VTEC calipers- same as ITR/Accord, etc
H&R 1/4 inch wheel spacers
EG6 15/16th master cylinder.

Most parts were free, so don't ask for total cost. I'll tell you it was very cheap though...cheaper than new pads and rotors for my stock setup.

The Prelude calipers bolt right up to the GSR spindle....but the offset of the caliper is different, causing the rotor and caliper to hit each other. This is where I used the 1/8th spacer....between hub and rotor.

The ITR rotors were actually off my friends car (www.c-speedracing.com project Integra). These are what....like 11 inches or so...VERY large compared to my stockies ( don;t have ABS).

Then, to clear the caliper, I used the H&R wheel spacers. This also gave me a much wider track up front and just the handling felt a lot better. I used a 15/16ths MC for better fluid movement, and that was that. Same stopping power as a 5 lug setup, without the cost. WELL worth it IMO....a LOT better than stock. I throw people into the windshield when I stomp on the brakes. I can late brake safely now too ( track only of course).

Here's some pics....(bored aftwr work )

More for kicks

I would suggest an OEM setup like this anyday. Most parts can be found for very cheap

What accord model and year would that be off of? That seems like a better route than dropping like 700 for a fastbrakes kit. How much does it run to get the rotors drilled for the 4x100 pattern and where would I go to get it done? Great write up though and nice shots of the hatch!

I'm not exactly sure. Someone should be able to chime in and say. I believe it was the early 90's Accord wagons...lol

laff, if its tech related chances are people wont even look anymore on here.

What caliper bracket did you use? the 23T the prelude also uses i assume? There are several brackets available with the "bigger pad" size.

23t, 25t and 28t ... experimenting with the other two might yield someone results which don't require shimming etc. There are probobly other #'s I'm missing, but those are the most common you'd see.

I just bolted up the Prelude caliper straight to the stock mounting point on the GSR hubs. Plug and play there

And we-todd-did is down it looks like right now...I'm seeing x's too

Well if you can redrill the ITR rotors, couldn't you just not drill and use the 5bolt pattern that comes on the rotor?

I think when I do this I'll try using the different brackets. I *THINK* ITR uses 25T's (btw the number means rotor offset) As do the V6 Accords for sure and possible the NSX. 28T's are from the odessy van and some other car I forget now. The Shims DO WORK and I've done it before, but I'd like to avoid it.

jdm eg6 master cylinder isn't 15/16 it's same size as 00si 7/8 you must have a 91 integra or 90ex 4 door civic which are 15/16

where was the prelude caliper hitting the gsr roter? front, back, side where did you put the spacer? between the wheel ?
