Default EM2 JDM H22A1 SWAP: Possible?

I made a Google Search with no success.

Im just wondering if the engine bay of my em2 (civic 2001 coupe) can fit an h22a, and how much would it cost when its all said and done. has it ever been done? my car is also Automatic, so i need to convert it to a manual transmission.

2001 Civic? I think it could be done with the right mounting kit. But im not sure. So free bump.

Auto to manual conversion is simple, do a Search and you'll find many topics on it.

The H22 should work in a 2001 (don't quote me on that...I'm not used to working on civics past about 1999) with a little work. You can Search for that too.

Search.

And by Search, I mean search our site with the lil button up thar in the cornuh.

Yes, it will fit. You may have to move around some non-sense (AC/PS/Oil Pump/Battery), but it will fit. I've never helped with the swap, but I've seen it. Go down to Marysville and ask some of the local rice-uhs down therre.

even if a h22 is able to fit there might some legal dilemma may arise, make sure the engine is newer than the car, otherwise you'll be walking yourself in some shithole when you try to sell it.

k20=$7k
h22= alot less

very true, but the the k20 is more complicated than an h22. i highly doubt someone who is able to do a b-series of h-series swap will also be able to a k20 swap. there would be a few parts which need sourcing and fabrication.
