There is a strange rattling in my TEIN type FLEX coilovers. Only in the front struts....it just started happening about 3 or 4 days ago....whenever i go over small little bumps i can hear something rattling around....

oh that and every time i turn at low speeds there is the most anoying popping sound....I think it's something to do with my tie rods

help anyone?

you need to re-tighten the collars that lock the shock body to the bottom housing AND re-tighten the top pillow ball nuts. (42ft/lbs)

this will fix your problem

re-tighten the top pillow ball nuts

Yep, tighten that nut on top of the pillow ball mounts. Tein ships them all without this being tight. You gotta take off the wheel and hold the shock body from underneath and tighten that nut on the top. Easier with a helper. Someone hold below and someone tighten.
