Default WTF?

I installed an intake and the car is running like ****, very sluggish and it's bogging really bad in first gear. Now, the stock intake tube had 2 plugs, I am guessing vacuum lines, and the aftermarket intake did not have the holes for the vacuum lines. So in short I did not plug up the 2 vacuum lines onto the aftermarket intake. Will this cause the car to actually be slower and run like ****? I mean all the intake does is make a lot of noise and it actually hurt the power of the engine. WTF is going on?

Thats what I am going to try but the intake doesn't have the holes for the vacuum lines. It's an intake for a prelude that I got for $40, so thats why it doesn't have the proper holes for the lines. I am just going to try and cover them and see what happens.

Thanks for helping though....

The 2 small vac lines on a 1g B16 are not needed, remove the lines and the units they are attached to and plug the 2 holes with a bolt.

If u didnt plug those vac. lines when u installed the intake, then theres your problem. You have whats called a vacuum leak. You are sucking in more air than the motor thinks it is, and running lean.

I plugged up the vacuum lines and that seemed to fix the problem. Perfect timing too, I'm going to run the car tomorrow at the dragstrip and see what the b16 can do.

Will post results.
