You think these seats would fit???
My brother in law has had these 300zx leather seats in his garage for a couple years. He was originally gonna put them in his 78 nOva, but sold it. I pulled em outta the garage to have a look see. WOW! These are badass! really comfy and in MINT condition. The driver side is full power (controls on the seat, so it would be easy to wire up) and the passenger is manual. How much fab work do you think I would need to do to get em to fit in my 96 coupe? Hopefully not too much cause i want these bad boys in my car!

I may pull stock seats out and do a test fit. Hopefully all it would take is a couple of brackets to locate the four mounting points, and not have to worry about the rails. Tell me what you think.

As long as you can make rails and the seats are not too wide to fit in the opening, there is no reason you should'nt be able to use them. The rails may prove to be a big deal though, especially if you can't weld.
Yeah, as long as you can rip the rails off your Civic seats and get them on the 300ZX seats, you should be good to go. They could be too wide or too tall also.
Well I did some rough measurements of the mounting points. Frome side to side the 300's are about an inch and a half short, and from front to back about a half inch. I'm thinking that it's close enough that I could use some steel and bend it into brackets that would bolt right up. That way I could just use the rails from the 300. Hmmmmm??

Yeah...definitely grade 8. I may mock something up like that, and then take them to be fabricated by a shop. Whelp...I guess my day is planned for tomorrow.

Very cool, what do you plan on making the brackets out of?? I never would have thought they would fit. I just assumed that 300z seats would be too wide for a Civic.

I thought so too, but if you think about it...those cockpits are awfully cramped, and the cars aren't very wide overall.
I think I'll use 1/8" steel bar, and double it up if need be. The 1/8th inch can be persuaded into shape via a vice and mallet, and it can be drilled easily. All I think I'll need to do is make 1 maybe 2 bends in each one and 2 holes for the bolts. We'll see. I gotta pull the stock seats and see how they sit in the car. They look like they'll be a good fit, but I don't want em to be too low or too high. I'll post up the results later on....

yeah, those look pretty cool... cant wait to see them in the car... A buddy of mine put 2000 Cleica seats in his 91 teggy... he just took the rails off of his teg seats and put them on the celica seats... but they look really good, expecially with his 4-pt SPARCO harnesses, can post pics if yall are intersted!
