Argh. Alarm going off, and no remote! HELP!
Okay, I get off work at like 12:30 tonight, it's been a real pain in the *** night, and I'm gonna go off and cruise with my co-worker for a while before going home. But when I get to my car and turn the key, it dies. Full on no-power dies... So I pop the hood, and see the cover came off the positive battery connector. Push it back over, and WOOP, there goes the alarm... I've had this car for a YEAR and the guy I bought it from didn't mention there was an alarm in it and of course didn't give me a remote. It finally turned off as I drove home, but jeez was that annoying...
Before you guys go off about me having a civic without (knowing it had) an alarm, I park my car next to a police interceptor, and about 15 feet from a marked crown victoria when I'm at home, and there's security where I work who watch it for me, so I'm not really worried about it getting stolen. I'm just worried about it going off in the middle of the night and getting 2 cops pissed off at me.
A couple days ago, my battery died cuz' there was no water in it, so I filled it up, jumped it, worked fine and dandy until tonight when it did this.
So my question is, WTF caused my alarm to go all funny on me? Did the battery dying make it go crazy, or did I accidentally hit a button somewhere? I'm gonna go get it taken out, and buy a new one tomorrow anyway, but I want to make sure that this isn't gonna happen again...

when the power cut out and came back, it prolly reset the alarm into an armed state. See if you can't find the brain and find out who makes it. If it's a DEI i can tell you how to disarm it w/o the remote
