Who has driven the R WITHOUT the lsd?
Just want to know some experiences with an open diferrential R..Im just wondering if anyone would be able to tell the difference(s) with a car like the GSR.
I know the R has progressive springs, shocks, beefier sway bar etc but I think the differential gives all the magic,I know this would include swapping out diffs.
-regards

Type R minus LSD = GSR. Therefore, just drive a GSR and you will know. I'm not sure what you're getting at with your question. IMO driving a high horsepower FF car without an LSD would cause a serious decrease in acceleration performance.

going from a gsr to an itr was a step up (performance) and part of it has to due to the fact that the itr has the lsd. if you don't have one get one!!!! it makes a very big diff...
I currently have a GSR tranny in my ITR
I will never do this again. I am getting my JDM Final Drive installed and the tranny just got done tonight. I am having the tranny installed Thursday night, and believe me, I can't wait to get this piece o'junk out of my car. The gearing is all wrong (wasn't that bad on the highway) and the lack of LSD makes the on ramps not as fun as they used to be. I think that I would reccommend a Type R tranny to anyone that has a GSR, even if only for the LSD.
