I used a 98 GSR throttle cable bracket on the firewall. It bolted right up.

I have 100% never had a problem with making a stock civic throttle cable bolt up to any B-series swap...what is everyone else doing differently?

I had to make the bracket longer, otherwise the throttle cable came up to short with the stock mounting bracket.

The question is, what are you doing differently? My D series bracket was off by a few inches.

I think I moved the stock bracket to a different location in all previous circumstances. Creativity > spending money I don't have

Yup, or ends up saving a bunch of time waiting for parts to come in. I had to custom make a bracket for my y7 throttle cable on my y8 (using the y7 throttle cable braket).

order it before you swap, and it should be in when you are ready.
a new throttle cable is like 15 bucks. get the right one.

i cutted the metal wire that wraps around the cable itself, so it can extend and move the bracket a little on the mani.. ghetto but it works fine

Yeah, that was my stock cable on my 97 civic hatch. I just used a piece of half inch steel and made a bracket that moved the throttle cable holder over to the left an inch or so. It took all of about 10 minutes to do. Ive checked and it also opens up the throttle body plate all the way.

The stock cable fit in that bracket but was a little loose. I only changed it to the b-series cable because it came with the swap.

zip ties work wonders....at one point they were holding several parts of my car together....maybe ghetto, but as long as it runs right i don't care.
