Default OT: Insurance

This might be off topic or maybe some of you may have read this before and I know that there has been numerous threads posted concerning insurance rates & premiums and what not..... and maybe some of you already know this, but here is an article that I read that may help some of us who wonder why we pay so much... and some of us who pay so little for insurance coverage...

http://moneycentral.msn.com/co...0.asp

"The 1999 to 2001 Acura Integras, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, were nearly seven times more likely to be stolen than the average four-door. The same model years of Jettas, by contrast, were about 20% less likely than average to appeal to a thief."

Well just in general type r's are way more expensive to insure than other cars. At the insurance company I work for, on a scale of 1 to 27 on highest risk and most expensive to insure, the type r is a 24! A gsr is only 19 and ls,gs is only 18! Unless your driving record is immaculate youre gonna be paying out the ***, just like me!

Well, that's odd... when I first called to insure my R, I asked the difference in premiums between the GSR and the ITR and the insurance said that it's cheaper to insure the ITR than the GSR.... the reason, I don't know... but I thought that was odd then...
