Will a 88-91 Si Distributor work on a 1st gen B16?

i put my factory 88 crx si dis cap onto my jdm b16 and it works after a little mod..but for the whloe distributor you gotta get the correct part,read the post by jim morrison...
Damn it, I don't know where these people are getting their info from, but here is what I know, because I have done it.
YES, it works. It does not bolt perfectly , but it WILL run the engine without codes.
I "personally" installed a 90 CRX HF distributor on a B18C5 engine on a CRX runnig a PR3 ECU that made 200.8 HP at the wheels. You will have to modify the legs a bit to make it stay, but if you are in a pinch and you can get it for cheap, then it's worth the trouble to make it fit.
The only one that WILL NOT work is the one from a DX (DPFI) engine.

That's not the case.
It happened to a friend of mine, two years ago.
The distributor self destructed and he was stuck. So we got an HF distributor and got him running again. He found the right distributor later and replaced the HF distributor. But he did dynoed the car with the HF distributor, all the way to 9500 RPM.
