Anyone have any info on the next gen Accord? I haven't heard anything about it...

 

the new accord will be a 2003 model and we'll probably get more info about it in a few months

 

Is the 2002 Accord released yet for Canada?

 

The 2002 accords are out already. There is no change from the 2001. There is gonna be a big change in the coupes within 2 years. I am not sure whats going to happen buit the V6 might get a 5 or 6 speed manual, or a different motor, and the body will be changed a little.

 

But are'nt they combining accord and prelude soon?? Thats what i've been
hearing..... that they will stop making prelude if have'nt yet and make
the accord and prelude as the same car.........

 

the prelude is discontinued cuz the accord coupe took away sales. the accord coupe is kind of a replacement for the prelude. a new prelude MIGHT come out in a few years.

 

The '03 will be the end of the prelude. To replace the prelude the Accord Coupe will be further differentiated from the sedan. Expect a 220hp with a manual. Whether or not it will be a variation of the H22 or the V6 is still up in the air from what i've read.

 

I guy I went to school and graduated with this spring works in engine developement at Marysville and he said the Accord/CL platform is getting a new 4cyl DOHC and a smaller more powerband useable V-6. Manual trans. are planned for both engines. No word as to which engines for what models but he said both are awesome and vast improvements over current honda engines. Now, this was in the spring so, things can change but bet on a new v6.

OBD-IIIV, and paper thin cylinders in open deck desigh, if you try to put different wheels or suspension on the check engine light will immediatelly come on
