Default Spool or Quaife

I recently broke my tranny and it damaged my quaife lsd. I'm going to sent it back to get warrentied and I'm thinking about getting a TCI or Prodrive spool. Is the spool any better for drag racing and how would a spool be on the street?

They suck on the street man. I didnt think it would be that bad, but it definately is. Good for racing tho.

I wouldnt use one, unless I had too. If you break an axle, you'll have your hands full with the spool.

Pretty much to keep this simple.
A spool is a solid piece of metal that replaces your diff or lsd. No give at all. Both wheels will always be spinning at the same rpm unless you brake an axle or something else catastrophic happens to you drive train.

</TD></TR></TABLE> probaly have 3 broken axles from driving on the street with a spool, hell in the pits my car feels like it is gonna pop a axle out the side when turning with a spool. I mainly run a quaife, but when we have to throw a tranny together in a hurry we have used spools to get down the track and they are a last resort, dont have the money for 3 quaifes to have spare tranny's

spool's are not legal for the street class in most of the sanctioning bodies. so if you are intending to use one , you will be racing in the pro class.
