Default Mugen headgasket?

I was at a local shop a few weeks back and they had a Mugen headgasket in stock and the guy was telling me that it would raise my compression. Anyone know how much and what kinda gains will I get HP wise? This may have been answered before, but how high of compression can i go on regular 93 octane gas? The reason for all the ?'s is because I am getting the itch again and wanting to go all motor down the road.

Thanks! Corey

It raises compression by .3. Typical gains for a point increase in compression are 3-5%. Realistically its probably a 5 hp gain at most could be more but its not like your car is gonna be insanely fast after that.

Compression can go as high as 12:1 on pump gas although I really don't advise that.
