Default Temp for "cooking" tail lights?

Ok, i thought i saw it on here some time ago, but i cant find it using the search. What is the oven temp used for heating tail lights to remove the lenses? If someone knows any other information that would help me in my quest it would be appreciated.

IIRC it was 350. I don't think it really matters just make sure you don't melt them just the glue.
May want to try posting in the appearance forum.
NTPOG has a different way now. http://www.ntpog.org/mods/fift...shtml

350 for 12 minutes or 400 for 9. I did 400 for 9 on my buddy's RSX-S tails and it came out great.

so was that twice in a row or was it twice once to get it off and once to get them back on?

I put them back together and put them back in the oven for 10 minutes on 400. Took em out, pressed em together real well, silicon caulked em and let them sit for 30 minutes before I put them back on. Unfortunately, I melted the corner of on of the rear tabs (unseen and unimportant) so I can't claim a "perfect DIY black housing" project.

400 five min, same formula i used on all five headlight i painted

dont really pry it out with alot of force, the heat should soften the silicone and it should easily come out, if you pry the len too hard, it will deform by a little and it will not fit perfectly.

anyway, get some silicone(grey) in autozone and reseal them back the same fashion you take them off

I only did mine at around 205 for about 10 minutes and it worked perfectly fine for me.

well, on the first light the removal, everything went as planned i did 300 for 7 min. then for some reason i decided to try 350 for 5 min for the second one. well the problem comes along when i forget to set the timer and when i realized it, it had been who knows how many minutes. . Anyways, the lens was only slightly melted when i caught it. So i took it apart anyways.

Then when i was putting them back together it didn't heat them up first and cracked the good lens just a tiny bit. So i decided to practice warming them up a bit before putting them back together, so i was going to do the same 300 for a few minutes just to warm it up. When the timer when off i found a melted tail light because i forgot to turn the temp back down from 350.

BUT i was able to use the other one to verify temps that would work with out problems. so i should be able to do it right next time.
