RS*R :: Skunk2 :: Invidia Exhaust Setups
Well... I've narrowed it down to 3 different setups. Between RS*R, Skunk2 and Invidia... I can't decide between the 3 because I havn't heard any of them. I love the sound of the Apexi N1, but everyone has that and I want to be a little different. Anyone have any feedback on these 3 exhausts for a 96 hatch? Keep in mind, I'm getting all the supporting mods done for the engine swap, most likely B16a2, or B18c1 if I can afford it. Thanks!
they're all the same exhaust... made by the same person =o)
i bought it twice for the del Sol and just now for my new 99 EK.
I can take some short movie clips of the sound and what not this weekend if you want.

Yeah definitely! IM me or something.... xkornmartx on AIM
From what I know.... Invidia was a sub-company of RS*R but I think they are their own company now... So yeah... I didn't think about that, they prolly the same exhaust then.

You have a pic of it?
EDIT: Nevermind, I just found the website... actually, the GTII is the style I would be looking for. The Exmag is definitely cool lookin though!

found a couple other pics from when building the car... i will say that if you don't like moderately loud exhausts, don't venture this route... i'll make those vids asap.
here is under the car, fits in nice =o)

I didn't know RS*R made Skunk2 as well... that's good to know!
Well, I think that's it then... I think I'm going with RS*R... might as well stick with the original!

If you want a quiet exhaust then you should definately look into the RS*R Ex Mag
I know a few people who are running it and it's definately a nice quiet exhaust. Slightly louder than stock but no where near N1 levels.

That's what I have. That's the old school setup though. Not the same as what most places are offering now under the RS*R name. Mine runs the same route as the stock pipes. The newer ones don't look like they do. Old school = best catback made (IMO) quiet until you get the R's up, little deeper tone than stock and looks great. New school = ???
[edit] I checked out the site and the ex mag appears to be the same size and routing as the "old school" one that I have. The race version is what I was thinking was their "new school" one. i have no idea about that one.

i have a 97 hatch and i will tell you that the gtII sits really low since it is an under axle design but it does only have on major bend in it which is pretty nice. it sounds very nice as well

Hows the RSR gt2 compares to Apexi N1, Which one hangs higher and lower?? Does anyone have the rsr gt2 on their hatch? does it have any risk hitting or scraping the bumpy roads??
