Default Autocross news

If anyone is interested.... It appears they are moving the 93-97(?) VTEC Prelude from DS to GS. Looks like now is as good a time as ever to drop the H22A in my car and convert it to VTEC specs....

Yea me too, but no backseats or body panels in the back put me in SM anyway.

Unfortunately, if you swapped an H22a into a Prelude that did not come with one from the factory, you would no longer be legal for the stock classes. You would be relegated to SM. You cannot "convert" say an Si into a VTEC because they are considered different models under the SCCA Solo2 classing scheme. You would need to find a real, stock 93-96 Prelude VTEC to run in GS.

My bad, I was under the impression that if you converted everything that was different (engine, brakes, etc..) then it would be legal.

NASA honda-challenge rules, yes.. I'd still do it though, even if it is technically illegal, they would only have a problem at the national round at topeka..
