It's been my experience in the past that the best deal on race tires wasn't always to be had through the local retailer. Technology should only have made this more the case so I'm looking for the best price on Toyo rubber considering the realities (e.g., mounting and balancing).

if you're looking for RA-1's, there are a couple options i know of.

frisbee tire or vilven tire.

if you have a spec miata be sure to tell them such so that you get the $60 rebate.

 

Use Phil (maxx44). It's a good bet that he's going to beat the best price you're going to find.

 

i dont know where you are located but les schwab tire but they are only on the west coast. mainly up in the north west.

aren't honda challenge competitors supposed to get a 15% (or $15 per tire) discout?

i think i remember reading that some where. maybe it's just for west coast? possibly for east coast in '04 as well?

That was just west coast for this year... and should be everywhere next year IF the spec tire rule is in place.
