Default bad sound coming from driver side wheel

93 accord w/ h22, the noise started a couple days ago but has gotten very very bad, it sounds like a grinding noise and every now and then i can hear metal on metal, im thinking its the axle but its not making a clicking noise, just a grinding noise and the ride is kinda rough, does it sound like the axle or something else???

thanks

Could be the wheel bearing, could be a stone cought up in the brake rotor. You might have to take the wheel off & look...

I'm guessing wheel bearing.

Not sure if it would be your wheel bearing but a quick way to find out would be to lift that tire off the ground and grab the tire on each side, then try wiggling it up-down and left-right. If the wheel feels like it's wobbling, like a loose tooth pick, then it's your wheel bearing.

Edit: Also, I think a bad wheel bearing would have more of a humming sound.

I think its your brake pads wearing down at its warning point. Your bearings are like a humming sound
