Here, fix it, you will love me later when you start realizing how much cleaner this looks...

Right Click on your desktop
Select Properties
CLick on the "Appearace" Tab
Click on the "Effects" Button
In the second dropdown box, change Standard to ClearType, then click OK.
Click Apply

After that, start looking around and typing in places and then you will realize how wrong your text looked all this time.
