Default Has anyone modified a EG hatch rear seat with Integra material and center console??

As most of you guys already know the Integra seats into a EG hatch fits ok. By ok the fronts bolt right in, the rears bolt right in. The seat bottoms on the other hand don't fit quite so well in my opinion.

After having my teg seats in for about a month, the rear seat has made me go crazy. I hate when things look half assed.

So with that i thought, maybe i could use the stock civic seat bottom with the teg material on top to match the rest of the interior.

Well with that i first found a spare matching seat bottom. Bought that just in case this idea doesn't turn out to well. Next i removed the center tray and the seat fabric.

From there its time to bastardize the stock civic seat.

thats where im at now...

haven't completed it just yet.

Just wondering if anyone has tried something like this before??

Will post pics up and more details when complete!

Its kinda funny no one has responded since there are quite a few guys with teg seats in a hatch.

Im sure if this post was a "pick the color of my ROTAs" it would be up to 100+ responses by now!

oh well

How did you take the clips out? FYI, they are called Hog Ring Clips, and a pair of Hog Ring Pliers make your life 10000x easier if you have them..

Scrapin: flat head screwdriver took out the hog clips. wasnt that hard.

Door panels are next on the agenda!

KRiSI:What material did you use? was the shop able to match the teg material?

my GSR leathers just sit on the top, im eventually going to clue the carpet down under them, and then velcro the seat down with 3m double sided velcro tape thingy, but it works now, and is comfy so its not an issue for me now...but the driverside rear seat buclke keeps coming out under the hole, so its a bitch sometimes

i didnt like how they were wobbly and didnt fit right.

if someone sat on one side the other side kinda lifts. You also need to have the rear seat tucked and it doesnt always stay.

Hope to finish it this weekend.

Final pics will be posted

i installed the itr rear seat in my eg a few years ago.... i made up some brackets for the front of the seat with aluminum channel and inserted nutserts into them. in the rear, i just drilled and inserted a nutsert into the chassis. bolted down like stock.

edit: i found some pics

pass side lower front

drivers side lower front

and the rear nutsert

good luck!

i can look when i get home, but i don't think i have any. suffice to say, the seat looked perfect accept for the little bit of gap on either side (teg seat not as wide, as you all probably know), which was fixed with spare pieces of scrap rear carpet.

hey Civicdude,

are you gonna try to incorporate the tray off the integra cushion into the civic cushion?

Just wondering, cause in my opinion you should just leave it out. It looks much better. I hate that tray thing. My integra special edition sedan lower cushion doesn't have the tray in the middle and it is way nicer IMO.

i wanted to leave the tray out but don have enough material.

Im going to use the tray. No one really sits in the back, i just want the cushion to fit properly and have no gaps on the side

That is a really good idea instead of skinning the seats down to bare nothing and then recovering them i have seen that done before but didn't know exactly how it was done. I would have done that in my car untill i turned it into a striped down street car. to all the DYI guys
