Default Tokico illumina with Ground Control in EF info gained...

Ok, so I've installed New Illuminas with GC F400 and R300 in my 89 EF.
My experiences, less headache for you:
Fronts;
I've cut the new bump stop in half. Install this first, then goes a protective dust boot. You cannot use the stock one if you are using the new Ground Control top mount which gives you the desired extra travel in EFs. (worth every penny)
For the dust boot, the best thing to get is R side of power steering boot from 89 Acura Legend coupe. Get 4 for front and rear. Remove the plastic nipple from this dust boot and this side goes into the sleeve. The top part of the boot has to be trimmed. (the part that is clammed to the tie rod end). Ones you put that over the shock, next goes the washer (gold, kind of thick). Then you put the spring in, GC urethane spring "washer??", and the GC top mount.

Now if you're are not using the GC extender top mount, u have to cut and be left with 1.5" of metal dust boot (from your old honda shock combo), and trim that new acura dust boot a bit and slip it over the oem honda metal dust boot. Reuse the second black metal washer then and install your old top OEM mount.

I've had a bit of trouble putting the lower fork on the end of new illuminas but ones it goes in ( I dropped the car on them), no sweat.

Rears:
Cut bump stop in half, install over the shock, next goes the gold thick washer, then you have to cut 2 sections of the acrua boot, cut and reuse old OEM metal boot, cut so that you're left with 1.5". Directions say 1" but I think you'll be better off with a bit more so that when you are wrap tying the rubber dust boot to the metal dust boot, it won't be so much in the way of the urethane spring/mount "washer??". For the rears, I remove the plastic nipple and that part was going up, so that it was tied with plastic tie band to the old OEM metal boot. I think I trimmed 3 folds for the rears. So then goes the black washer, spring, and the urethane washer and the old honda OEM mount.
If you have it set at the very top, you'll be raies about 1" over stock.

Have the ring up the sleeve about 1/2 way up. this will give you about 0.5" dropp.

That's it.
