Legend Engines???
the type 2 has different heads and a different exhaust manifold, giving it 30 extra horsepower. the type 2 actually has 2 less ft lbs of torque, but that isnt noticeable.
other than the heads/intake manifold, and the 94-95 type 2 engines had the R-134a coolant instead of the R-12 system, they are virtually the same....the bottom end is the same, but the type 2 has a different flywheel setup.

the 6 speed on legends is mostly for bragging rights. as far as gearing, it is roughly the same. 3rd gear is a little shorter i believe.. it is good for gas milage also, not all that much better, but maybe 2-300rpm difference at 80mph.
id rather have a 5 speed. less complicated, less weight, and much cheaper to fix if necessary.
