Default any of you guys ever ride without a valid tag???

i just got my back about 2 months ago now, bought it used, got a good deal on it, but i still havent gotten it tagged. it has a "valid" tag on it now as long as it doesnt get run. i do have my permit, and the bike has insurance, the tag is just a phony.... any worries?

In all honesty I've logged more miles w/o a completely legit tag than with. Take it for what's its worth.

with all the other things you gotta worry about on a motorcycle (speeding tickets, exhibition of acceleration, which by the way cost a hell of alot), jus get plates . . . It costed me like $30 (in florida) and it don't take that long . . . I'd rather have plates and get pulled over for wheelie'ing then not be able to have fun cuz I don't have all the legal stuff taken care of . . .

depending on the stat and more importantly the cop. most places they dont give you to hard of a time if its a month expired, but i believe in most states and for sure in the one i live. (UT) they can impound your vehicle if its expired for 3 months. Usually as long as your not an *** to the cop, they usually let you go or give you a ticket. But if they give you a ticket the judge usually dismisses it if you show up to court with proof that you had it registered. SO as long as your not speeding and you keep both wheels on the ground you should be ok, for a little bit.

most cops wont even look for your tag... least thats what i have found. i have ridden without a tak since i got my r6 brand new... if that means anything to ya. lol
i find that most cops dont even care about motorcycles.... i speed constantly (obviously) and dont even get pulled over... i guess they just figure that the darwin effect will filter us out lol

ride on!

most cops won't bother running bike plates, still you are running a risk. Here they'll impound your car/bike for having expired tags. I'd rather get the tag then deal with that.

this is to you two badasses telling us that you don't have tags and speed and dont care: remember to write and tell us when it all bites you in the *** down the road. is it ignorance to brag about being ignorant?

to the original question, one of these days you will wish you have tags and it is quite easy. don't regret it later.

ive been pulled over by cops witout my tag.....
i dont need some punk tellin me what i do and dont need...

DO understand that riding a bike is a privelage.
and that each rider takes his/her own risks by subjecting themselves to the dangers of not riding wether it be physical danger or through the law....

riding witout a tag is MY desire... i really dont give a **** about what your opinion is about me,my bike, or my riding style.... one of the many luxurys about having a bike is that you can ride howver you want... wether its TECHNICALLY wrong, or whatever.

and as for speeding.... why would one buy a bike like this if its not to press his/her limits to make him/her a better rider....
its like buying a ferrari... who the hell buys one jsut for looks... geezus

have a good day guys. and sorry about this post... i just dont like it when people give me **** for something that doesnt even matter to them....

I rode w/o a tag at all for a few weeks, but I had Insurance. I thought I was busted one day. I was going down the street and a cop appeared behind me. So, I just pulled over thinking it was all over. The cop just drove on by! I pretended to be checking my chain so I didn't feel like a total jackass.

okay shitstain; i am assuming you are a young rider by your comments. so call me a the punk! the point is that riding a motorcycle is not kid stuff. you may want to brag about being stupid and that is fine, but, don't give advice to other impessionable riders unless it is useful info. ride however you want none of us care. try to keep your mouth shut when you think you are looking tough as hell. sorry to be an ***. we'll catch you on the flipside.

Please tell me that you were involed in some sort of speical education durring your life because atleast it would give you some reason for being so ******* stupid. Just a word of advice, never try and type something in order to prove a point ever again. Plain and simple you suck at it and throughout that entire passage I was unable to find one valid point in your arguement.

Not that I believe a word you say but, why can't people like you just stick to cutting your springs on your civic and hitting trees instead of ruining motorcycling for us responsible people?
