i have h22 civic and cant get traction...who woulda thought...but i need tires and...
I need tires for my 95 civic SI hb with h22 and bolt ons. I can break them loose in 2nd letalone first. I was wondering what is the best stickiest street tire for a 15 or 14" wheel. I was gonna get falken azenis but im sure there are better ones out there thats why i started this thread. If all else fails ill just get some drag radials but id rather try to just get some good sticky street tires. Let me know what are the best to work with thanks.
any other thoughts...what about falken azenis...or yoko parada spec 2s?
if you have a h22 in a hatch you obviously dont care about turns....falkens and paradas are good but those are more all around tires..... You seem to car more about drag racing plus you have a lot of torque i would go with 555rs or bfg drag radials....make shure you warm them up good and lower your tire pressure
BFG are the best you can get you will have traction at all time if you chose to drive them at all times but not in the rain. This is comeing from someone who has a hatch with a h22.

I agree traction bars do also help alot. Even on street tires with traction bars is good to help with traction problems.

.......but yea imma hit up the azenis for now.....just gotta learn to use the torque instead of spin it

yes i have driven a h22 hatch...and im talking about road racing not literally turns you moron....putting a h22 hatch in a hatch makes it really front heavy..... take your car road racing and see what happens you jackasss.
if you have the right custom spring rates, adjustable struts, sway bars, tie bars, bushing etc......its fine...its all on setup, tuning, driver......for everything

WTF would make you think it wont handle without the proper suspention? and no I'not talking about shunk2 coilovers on stock struts like the one you drove. do some research before you talk ****.

Really front heavy huh. Terrible...
One who doesn't know jack about an H22 Civic really shouldn't be talking about it unless they can back it up with facts.
`nuff said.

Wow so may people who know about h22 in civics, but half of them most likely dont own or never have owned one.
yeah i guess you guys might be right.
on me. This hatch that i drove only had skunk 2 coilovers and a front strut tower bar.......all i know that car handled like ****...he told me there all like that because of the extra 195 pounds over the front......customs spring rates huh i guess its possible but id rather have my ITR motor

im sure your not a rich man nor am i , i dont know what your budget is but i would just start saving for a good lsd (quaife) Then work from there . Uneed all the pieces to the puzzle of traction . Then again this is coming from sum 1 thats never driven an h22/bubble but i feel your pain i have a built gsr in a hatch w/ no lsd ,**** tires and a bad camber so wtf am I? j/k. I so however have a z10 traction system and i dont think it does squat w/o the other pieces to the puzzle

Extra 195 lbs over the front? That's exaggerating it to say the least.
H22 weighs about 30 lbs more *IF* that compared to a B series.
Don't believe me?
Check my sig.
