the reason i ask is i plan on taking my turbo off to sale, need the money. i have 9:1 comp right now is that driveable with out the turbo pushing air in until i sale the turbo and stuff to get some 11:3:1 comp put in.

 

think about it. You are driving it now before the turbo kicks in right? Yes, 9:1 is fine. Won't perform as well as stock, but it will work.

 

It is fine. Stock ls motors have a compression ratio of 9.2:1.
