Default just ran at LACR

Just ran a 14.54@93.558mph at the best track in the world.......LACR This was with a 2.25 60ft on nitto 555r's. WTF? i wanted to get a 2.0 60ft or a 1.9. My best 60ft of the night was a 2.17...still shitty. Is it impossible to pull a good 60ft at LACR?

All motor 99dxcoupe

jdm b18c (stock internals w/ ctr intake cam)
179.44whp
130tq

I was wondering if a camber kit could help my 60fts? I am hopefully getting one put on tommorow. My best tonight was 2.17 on a 14.55@93mph. i want 2.0 or 1.9 Is it just LACR?

anyway what would a 14.5 be at sea level? I was thinking a 14.00 or really high 13.9? I heard lacr could be as much as .7 off your time? is this true?

hey for a stock gsr in a coupe 14.5 is pretty damn good if u ask me....low low 14's for sure with better altitude and 60ft....what psi did u run your tires at? try running them at 20psi or so...give the sidewall some room to flex a bit. good times though

i was running them at 22psi. i did the altitude adjustment and my 14.54 was actually a 14.08. I think tonight if i would of got a 2.0 or a 1.9 60ft i could of seen 14.4 maybe 14.3..i really wanted to get a 14.4 but i couldnt get my 60ft lower than 2.2 with one 2.1 Those nittos shure do grip though....i actually bogged a couple of times from revving to low on the launch

Sure is...earlier this year I ran at LACR for an IDRC event. I was cutting 2.0 60ft all day...so I packed it up after the event, headed to Autolink and put on some TEIN suspension, hit 1.9 60ft the next day! Also brought home a trophy. It was great.

My old CRX

No Tein needed.

LACR is a good track.. you just need to have the right setup for the track.. good suspension and right tire pressures but it can be done.. nice times though for LACR.. hope to see you at our IDRC FINALS - Nov 22nd and 23rd!!

unsung em1 my gsr or shall i say Sir is basically stock......i have stock internals. The head is stock besides a ctr intake cam....its got all your basic bolt ons manifold, tb, ect. and is tuned with a v-afc. Its also obd-1. As for my suspension its just stock...just four year old RSR springs to be exact. I think stiffening up the rear would do wonders for my 60fts. 2.1 just isnt going to cut it for me i want 1.9s!

yeah definitly at least getting some different shocks (kyb, tokico) and some good stiff springs.. or just get some coilovers.. dynamic autosports in irvine has a set of Drag competition coilovers, they use the progress shock body and eibach springs.. helped out a lot in my buddys eg..

its stiff.. i dont know about you but i like my car stiff so it was ok to drive for me.. i believe the spring rates for the rear were around 500lbs - 600lbs.. but the shock itself is valved for drag racing so it makes it even stiffer.. i liked it.. you can talk to chip at dyanmic (949) 457-1234.. he will take care of you..

So bolt-ons don't make an engine modified? I've seen ITR guys drop well over a second over their stock 1320 with bolt-ons... so they drive stock engine ITR's? Nope... If you said stock block, that would be a different story.

Well its not built so its basically stock right Just and intake cam that pretty stock right Its not like im sleeved with jun 3s tuned with hondata now thats not stock!
We all have different opinions. I guess my motor is mild. But even then a mild motor could be ctr pistons with port and polish w/ s2s2 cams....lol
