Well
B16 in CRX=low 14's

Their are no other mods that shave 3 seconds off your time from the stock low 17's that the CRX's run. Also you now have a 14 second car that still has room for boost/nitrous. It's a basic boost in performace with minimal upkeep I guess. Don't hate till u have tried it.

numbers don't show everything I would have to say there's a big difference in the high end I had a b16 in a vx that got jacked and now I have a si and I'd have to say the si in the low/mid range area stock feels a little bit more torquey but in the high end twords 5800rpms it's a way different story

Y B series??? u ask??? well for me that is as big as i can go and still run turbo. i have first gen crx. 86 si striped is really light.
take and drop 160hp in it compared to my 92hp at the fly. Plus the efects from vtec.
i am verry happy with my 1986 CRX si B16a soon to be t3/t4'd.
I will have to say the b16a in this car messes the handling all up compared to stock.
stock motor they handle great!!!!!
more weight in the front the car makes for tuff cornering!! so i would say if u wana go road racing or cayon driving i would have gone a lighter route but sence i am going for low 1/4 mile times i did not care
b16a in this car damm it pulls just with short ram and straight pipe on it so far. VTEC ROCKS
Ionley hope i will be able to hook up turbo'd.
i am going to have to have a light a$$ foot!!!

68 more whp to what i had stock thats pretty good bump i would say
have not ran it yet far as 1/4 mile times go.
But i know with my old stock motor and short ram and straight pipe i was up in high 15's like my best was 15.9
but the car is striped.
we will see what it runs now with that 68 more hp at the fly! 0 and 6 puck clutch

Yes, the B16A2, which is a USDM OBD-II engine, is 160hp.

He apparently has it confused with the 2nd-gen JDM B16A, which has 168hp (170ps).

Going from 70 to 160 HP isn't a good improvement?

And that is bone stock.

They are popular motors for a reason, throw one in your hatchback and you wont be asking that question anymore.....

Not only does it have more potential, It is almost double the horse power in some cases with just the swap into the little *** car. EF's rule

Didn't you see the se-r.net vs honda-tech.com ? "I have 360 hp.. he has 180.. I have double his horsepower.. he doesn't have to slow down for the turns!" the pissed off turbo sentra guy talkin about the little crx that went straight through the turns faster than he was going in the straight.

well the reason i went from dseries to bseries is because of the huge potential of bseries you can boost you can go n/a or you can have a potent daily driver stock
plus all this while you have the largest aftermarket selection ever

dont get me wrong i love dseries also but bang for your buck and mod for mod bseries will most likely allways win

What's with that gay smiley for your pic?????

That post sounded almost racist to me. I will laugh at some things like that, but I'm sorry, that bothers me. I'm not a fan of his avatar, either..but it's his.

I'm not ripping on you, just pointing out that. And yes, I know that since you're a trial user, you're sort of stuck with the smiley....

For everyone's viewing pleasure...Check this d16a6 out...
