Default Dyno'd my car finally. Sorry guys no chart, but pretty decent results.

Well I finally got a day off work to go dyno tune, well sort of. I call up EIP Tuning and ask them for an hour of dyno time. "Well our tuners not here.". Right, but I'm going to be tuning myself. "Oh ok sure come one down, be here at 2pm". Cool.

So on the way down, the main road I take to get there Rt.26 is closed. Oh great. So I go a back way and eventually make it there. I wait around for a while as they take my car back and strap it down. They finally come out front and tell me to come back. Guy hands me the controller, shows my how to switch between View Chart and Make Run and says good luck.

So I make my first run, get out of the car and walk over to the computer and plot the axis on the chart. WTF? Where's the A/F. So I ask Ian... "Aww sorry man our tuning tech has the sniffer in his truck and he's not here today." You've got to be kidding me. So I was like **** it I'll just do 3 pulls and figure out VTEC.

So I do the first run at 2,000rpm, set the 2nd run at like 8,900rpm and then plot both of them. They crossed at 5,000 perfectly. So I set VTEC @ 5,000 and make a pull.

Wow, not bad 154whp and 106wtq. Not bad for a stock internal untouched B16A2.

1999 Civic Si
AEM, King Motorsports TB, Skunk2 IM, JDM ITR 4-1, Carsound, Skunk2 exhaust, B&M FPR set at 40psi base, UR Ultra R crank pulley & Ultra A alt pulley, Kenji chipped P28.

Field's controller is installed with VTEC set @ 5,000rpm, but fuel is set @ 0 correction acroos the board becaue no tuning was done or could be done. FPR was untouched @ 40psi.

I was impressed for just bolt-on's on a 1999 Si. Skunk2 Cam gears are going on soon and then it's down to SC for a weekend of tuning and beer @ the old shed w/ Jack.

Flame away.

P.S. I don't feel like scanning and hosting a dyno chart. I'll have another write up and chart after tuning.

Those torque numbers are pretty low and horsepower is not bad.

If your happy then :

Thanks for the advice. All in due time.

I pick up my new block and crank sunday after work. Being sent out to RS Machines for 85mm sleeves and steped deck. Going w/ crower's and 85mm Arias 12.6:1's. Top end will be a Portflow PR3 w/ Skunk2 stage 2's and full valvetrain. Should make a 'lil more power then what I am now.

Thanks for the kind words and the not so kind. I like it.

Yeah no ****. Skunk2 is cheaper then a new ITR one and the AEBS wasn't even out yet. What do you recomend I go with JG? Or maybe an Endyn one or yeah TWM IBS's. ........

Very good numbers for no a/f tuning. And I don't care what others say, your tq numbers seem to be right on par for the motor.

Now, not to say you did anything wrong, because only you know what really works. But, just to add some advice to the thread: According to the Hondata tuning web page, After you find out where the tq curves cross each other, which you did and found out it is at 5000, they say you should drop it down 100-200 more rpm to completely smooth the curve. I'm sure it's much smoother then when it was at 5500 anyways.

But anyways, I'm sure you won't see much of a difference, but it might be worth a shot. Oh, and how come you didn't play around with the FPR any?

Good luck with your big bore b16 build up.
