Default axles

I went to the junkyard to ask how much axles off of a 3g integra would cost for my swap. I told him I wanted the rear and front axles and he told me that it didn't have 2 axles. The bottomline is i'm really confused because I thought that all cars had axles in the back and front. I thought axles where what the wheels were connected too. Anyway, after he told me that they didn't have two he said that the axles and half shafts would be 150. So I guess my question is what do I need as far as axles because i'm very confused now. Any and all help will be appreciated.

what are you doing? There aren't any axles in the back. Just the front. Better known as halfshafts. You have 2 axles in the front though. The rear is independent suspension and doesn't have a one piece axle like you're thinking. If I knew some more of the terms I'd be more help. Sorry.
Bottom line, 2 halfshafts in the front, hubs in the back. No axle there.

all you need is 2 axles + middle shaft for the front. no need to do anything on the rear..

Yep, what he said. Don't even bother with the rear, unless you want to do the rear disc conversion while you're at it. Kinda complete the transformation, ya know.
