Gutting a CRX. Question on removing the wiring.
I figured I would post this in the drag forum since there are some seriously gutted crx track ****** in here.
I've removed all my interior and would now like to remove as much of the factory wiring harness that lies behind the dash. I want to keep the factoy ECU, but pretty much everything else can go.
This is on a 1991 CRX SI. Does anyone have any diagrams of what wiring they removed and what they kept?
Thanks.

i wish i could help ya. i got rid of my stock wiring harness.. to tell you the truth, it didnt weigh that much.. especially if you are only going to remove the wires you dont need...
I'm not doing it for weight, just to clean up the car a bit. With the dash out, I still have all this wiring for stuff that is no longer there, like the clock, fan, A/C, sunroof etc.
Is there anywhere I can download the electrical manual for a 1991 CRX?

yeah, we just traced and removed.. It was a long, long process, and kind of complicated, but it did save quite a bit of weight. Especially if you are removing a lot of stuff, like all the taillight wires, fuel pump/gas tank, sunroof, etc, etc..
And it makes things a LOT cleaner everywhere, which is nice when you don't have a dash, and all your wires are exposed.
