Default what should i do first?

What should i do to the engine of a 90 civic hatch that would give me the best performance for not a whole lot of money?

intake, header, exhaust, is it a dx or si? im going to assume dx, do a mpfi swap (just the intake manifold and necessary parts)

yeah well i dont have the car yet but thats what im getting but most likely its gonna be dx like u guessed but im only 14 but im gonna but my car early and work on it so any help on this stuff would be great thanx

Most defnitely DPFI to MPFI conversion. Go for a mini-me if you have the ends to do so. Make your own intake tube and save some $ to buy an actual aftermarket one when you have the chance.

I had forgotten about being able to do an engine swap , so i'll probably just end up doin the swap but thanx for ur help anyways

if its got MPFI you can just get a mini me head (z6 head) thats pretty cheap, then save up and go ghetto/junkyard T25 turbo

You can probably do those both under 1k $ if you shop around a lot
