Is it safe to go NOS w/50 shot of NOS on stage 2 cam by Crower and stock internal???
I ned some help on my car. I'll be getting Crower Stage 2 cam shaft on my 2001 Prelude and i was wondering if i can go NOS 50 shot dry later if i wanted more power with nothing chances in the engine. When my cam are install these are the parts that will be on the car and already been dyno (Just a plan but most of these part i already pay for, just waitting for teh cam to be ship to me
CAI
Greddy PE
V-AFC
Skunk 2 Cam gears
Crower Stage 2 cam
UR Pullies
Magnecore 8.5mm and NGK plugs
I know its a cheap way to get NOS that is way i 'm doing it but i don't know it is safe to go with aggressive cam, Let me tell you uys what i wanted to do later okay, going to raise the CR to 11:5 and change the rod and if i have to resleve and change the T sping, and retainer, and in LSD. Thats it for now, hoping i can have a daily driven cr that can do high to low 13. Sowwie guys kinda low, but just wantedto give you guys all the info thx

I don't know about the NOS, but even Crower doesn't recommed stock valvetrain on their stage 2, do they?
I have talk to them and a lot o people said the same thing. It is true that they do recommend it,but if you are not raising the rev limiter or passing the stok limiter there is no point of getting a vailtrain. I'll replace it later down the road but just a little low on cash right now, strudent life, everyone been thought that part.
I would definately make sure you upgrade to the Crower valve-train with the use of NOS ontop of the stage 2's, play safe.
So i guess it is safe to use NOS 50 with that setup right + the vailtrain for the insurance. Is it or maybe you guys just talk about the vailtrain more then the NOS. My car w/be running all the listed mod w/o the NOS when i'm about to use the NOS i'll be sure to get the vailtrain
You definetly need a higher rated valve spring when using aggresive cams like that. If not you get vavle float and bend the valves and such. So it's a must if your going to get some wild cams.

Just wondering if a more agressive cam profile can cause valve float if the rev limit IS NOT raised...
I guess it's possible, but that would have to be one bad *** camshaft.
