Default DOHC ZC or B16

I plan on putting either the DOHC ZC or B16 in a CRX. The ZC is cheaper and i can use the stock mounts, but the B16 is gonna give me more power. I am undecided on what i want to put into it. I have about $3000 to spend on just the engine. I would like to have a little left over to put in the back for a rainy day. Any suggestions on what would be the better choice will be appreciated.

Here comes the "b16 is better than the zc" crap again....

Just go with whatever you can afford... or the bang for your bucks....

You know... the b16 you guys drop in your car is the same year as the DOHC ZC..

I'm not trying to defend the ZC but have you guys ever even owned a DOHC ZC? For 130hp they do some amazing **** for the price difference of dropping in a b16.

If you use this very useful function of this website https://honda-tech.com/zerosearch, you will find that this topic has been covered 1000000000000000000 times.

The b16 is more powerful, but it's more expensive.

Go with the b16. overall it will cost you about 2000$ for everything.

My roomate has a crx with a dohc zc, and i have a b16 in my hatch so ive ridden in both. both are good engines but if you have the cash go with the b16.

I would say go with the ZC I mean you said you want to have extra cash for a rainy day well your not going to if you go with the B16 since you will have to buy this and that for it. Get the ZC turbo it and you will have more power than the B16 with about half the money!!

That is the main reason i wanna go with the zc...less money, and i can still build it up. I can turbo cheap.

I've put over 30K miles on my ZC and I'm very happy with it and the two wire change only conversion. Cost under $1000 a few years ago and made a big improvement. Maybe one day I'll get a blower if I feel the need for more speed.

Go with a ZCG, Haha Best of both worlds.

Just for those you that don't know the ZCG is the same as a B16.

Do do a ZC swap is going to cost you around 1,000 bucks and to do a B16 you are looking at 2,000-3,000. All it comes down to is how much do YOU want to send.

You can turbocharge any motor and it will be more powerful than the b16 the ZC, b18 etc....

Bottom line, buy what engine you like and what makes you happy, I dont see the point of asking us what engine YOU are going to buy.
