my body shop has told me that the black moldings cannot be painted because of the material they are made of and that you would need to buy the paintable side moldings.

just take them off and fill the holes. no side moldings look better.

i wouldnt really know, but i would think that some bondo may do it, remember it does look much nicer with everything shaved, but if your at a store or parked somewhere, someone can bump your door instead of the side moldings which protect your door. just my 2 cents.

You can paint your factory side moldings. There is a handy artical on Team-Integra that shows how to do it. Here is the link.....
http://www.team-integra.net/se...D=831

Its actually for the side skirts, but they are made out of the same stuff.

bondo mayt work but i heard that in temp change it can crack and warp teh paint around it. i heard the best way is to get the body shop to weld it **** and then paint it.

i've seen h-t members gettin quoted $800-$1400 for the proper job. it's just not worth it. just paint the side moldings. other h-t members have done it. use the serch button.
