Too thick.
Use 5W30 for winter. 10W30 for summer.

According to the owner's manual, 5W30 is preferred at all temperatures.

Here is Australia, and Sydney, we get a varied temp Summer and winter.
So I use 0W-40. All year around. I got 73,000 on my 2000 ITR, No probs, No oil useage problems. Great oil.

0w-40?? how much is it? is that castrol or mobil oil? so 5w-30 too thin for higher temps. Summer is coming up i suppose.
