You don't want the HX tranny, gears are too long.

The HX tranny is CVT.

The tranny will hold but youll need a different clutch. I know there was a post on here a while back that listed all the trannys and their gearing lemme see if i can find it

::edit::
I found the post I was looking for but it doesnt list the gearing for the HX 5speed but its pretty close to the DX tranny (going by feel)
http://home.cinci.rr.com/mistab0ne/tranny.html

as you can see theres not a huge difference except for the final drive between the DX and the SI hatch/ del sol
2nd and 3rd are slightly different.

The HX tranny is geared far too long for any performance usage.

Get an EX tranny.

The CVT was optional for the HX. The 5-speed manual was standard.
