So does anyone use their S2000 as a daily driver?
nevermind...did a search and came up with my answer. Good to know. Now I need to determine if i can afford to trade in my shitty VW

to using the search. If you can, keep a beater car (not necessarily your VW) for the winter time and drive the s2k during good conditions. It's much better suited for warmer conditions...but can be used during winter time, just hurts to see salt build up and have the car go through the winter. (not that winters in so. cal see temps below 65degrees
)

I just got my S in September. I've never owned a RWD car before.. The first time I drove it in the rain, I knew RWD does funny stuff.. but me being curious, gassed it going around a left hand turn.
*** end swung out like my tires were greased... It was fun.. and I did do an autox in the rain which helped me to understand how the S handles in the rain but still I have a lot of learning to do...
I can't even imagine driving my S in the snow.. (fortunately I Have a 88 CRX HF for a beater car)
My S will not see snow.. unless its a total emergency. That is car mostly suited for dry conditions IMO.
Thanks guys

It's 3 months old, shade under 3000 miles...here's my list
fuel pump
gas gauge sender
worn Recaro
Gas Mileage way under sticker
rattles
So far that's it, over 10 days in the shop in 3 months...another 10 and it's a lemon according to the state of NJ
Thanks for the info guys. Unfortunatly because of my living situation I can only have 1 vehicle so if I got an S2000 it would see double duty. But I would get snow tires, I have blizzak's on the GTI for the winter. I've driven one S2k, as my girlfriends DAd has one as his daily driver and it's a blast...my very own racecar for the road

I drove mine as a daily driver for about a year. It snows every now and then here in TN but fortunately I never got caught out in a bad one. I put some high performance all-weather tires on it and I had no problems in normal winter/rain driving.
Not super practical, but no major problems as a daily ride.

I know this isn't S2000 experience, but my dad does drive his Z06 in the snow up here in Chicago. He has Blizzaks put on right before it snows. If you take it easy on the clutch and get it rolling in 2nd gear (or even 3rd), you shouldn't have any problems, just take it a little easier around the corners. My dad has had the Z06 go through some pretty heavy snow before, and from what he has told me it isn't too difficult.

Oh ahahaha I was gonna say I don't think you should be taking hondas to v20 dealers..
kinda ot: my friend's brother was getting his gay champagne cabriolet fixed and they were gonna charge him 60 bucks for spark plugs and another 115 to install them hahahaha. And then he needed a new throttle body which was gonna cost like 300.. or so they said..
