ok, i've checked in the manual to see if there is such a thing as an auto or manual rear motor mount. from the integra helm's manual, it only shows one type of rear mount. i had this same problem of struggling with the passenger's side insert only to find out i had the auto tranny mount on a 5 spd trans.
so, right now the insert isn't going into the rear mount. the top part of the insert slides in perfectly, but the bottom of the insert can't go inside the mount. so, is it supposed to just slide right in? i'm assuming it is supposed to because the passenger's and driver's go in without a struggle.
another question, during a swap in 92-95 civic, is it possible to use the civic rear mount? i'm asking this because my swap was done about 3 years ago and i don't remember how many mounts i received when i purchased the engine.

so what exactly are you asking? i've installed the mounts on my car but i'm not sure i get what you're asking, the rear mount inserts go in on the passenger and driver side of the mount, not top and bottom?
