Alright guys honest opinions.....
It actually sells better than you think. Thats why Suzuki continued making them for 2004. I'm considering the 750 as my next bike if I want to go bigger

Do you know how rare an r7 is? The gixxer750 is an awesome bike. If you ask anyone would actually knows about bikes, they'll tell you the same. Its got insane power for a 750 and handles like a dream. Super light + tons of power + handling = a great bike. I can't wait to see the new 750.
It supposedly rivals the current r1.

I, personally, am still waiting to ride one. Everyone that has ridden one has always said it's the perfect bike. It's the best of both worlds. You can rev it like a 600, and have power like a liter bike. Not to mention insurance will be alot less than a liter bike. The 750 was on my list when shopping for a new bike, but the market on them in L.A. is so good that dealers wouldn't budge on the OTD prices. Even the used ones keep their value well here. You can't go wrong with a gixxer 750.
They are very nice bikes, have a good amnount of Hp. They are probly a better choise for most of the people that by liter bikes. Not a lot of places or many times you can use the extra Hp from liter bike.

I can't wait to ride one of the 2004s. I feel too cramped on the older ones, pegs too far forward for us tall guys. The new 1000 feels a little more comfortable, so I hope the 750 is the same.

personally i think this bike doesnt get enough attention... just kinda curious why it isnt a big seller.... anyone have any thoughts?</TD></TR></TABLE>
I think its because a 750 is significantly more on insurance than a 600 bike. And since the 1000cc bikes are larger, insurance is about the same with the 750 and 1000cc bikes.

yes, more reason to have one. how is the bike super light??? and define tons of power????
hell yeah the gix 750 is a nice bike, but I'd rather have an R7, what's wrong with that. and i never claimed to know all things about bikes. have you even ridden an 750??? if not then your specualtion is the same as mine, all from magazines...keep your little comments to yourself.

Id take R7 over GSXR 750 any day... But I'm pretty sure that, that was his point, it is rare, as oppose to a GSXR which you see 1 out of 3.... Great bikes but the 750cc is a dieing class, as far as racing goes.... I like them, but I believe its mostly due to insurance and the differance between 750 and a 1000cc isn't all that great so people opted for the 1000cc.
And not EVERYONE who knows "anything" about bikes like the 750.... Everyone likes different things for different reasons....
When you say the new 750 rivals the current R1 your talking 2003 right?

The GSX-R 750 is a great bike. My friend has one and I have ridden it. The bike has more power all over the rev range, and better torque than my 03 600 RR.
I like the handling much better on my RR though.
I love the 750, I wish honda made one.
But no, the GSX-R 750 does not compare to the R1, the R1 has much more power.
And what is an R7?
I didn't know yamaha made a 700

Man, fawk spending 30k on an r7. If I was spending 30grand on a bike (which
would never happen.) I wouldn't by a 750
Realistically speaking, the GSXR 750 is a great bike. More torque and horspower
than a 600, and much cheaper insurance than a litre bike. I pay $100 a month
for insurance on my 600 RR, my friend pays $120 for his 03 GSX-R 750, and
insurance wants $190 a month for a 954 RR.

I personally don't see the use for the 750 class... I mean gsxr's have the 6 and the 1k, why put somethign in between that is so close to the other two in all facets
GeorgiaJDM: Why the **** do you have my friends girlfriend's picture as your avatar. I don't know where the **** you got that, but thats pretty creepy considering my friend and i live in Oregon, and you live in Georgia. Her name is Danielle Colley by the way, and she is like 17 or 18 years old.

Useless fact but the owner of http://www.cyclemall.net has an R7. It's sweet.
gixxer 750 is a great bike i have a 98 which is the first year for FI, suzuki has been working on these things since 1985 or 86? the 96-99 750's make between 112 to 120 whp which is perty damn good for a seven year old bike. I think they were perfected by 2000. last summer i payed 4600 for mine with 5900 miles on it. at the time the best 600 i could get for that price was a f3 which is a great bike but i think my bike is years ahead of a f3, well from a performance strand point. Sure f3,f4,f4i are more comfy but as time goes on all sport bike are getting more like the gixxer, as far as comfort.
