HID / Projector Question

Yo. I want to get HID for my EG. I dont really want to get a projector style headlight, I'd prefer to keep my factory headlight housing thingy majiga. I hear it is pointless to do HID with the factory headlight housings.
So my question is, which style of projector headlight is better / prefered, they all look pretty sh!tty and cheap to me.
who has what? pictures would be nice too.
thanks for the help holmes!

Got english?
Those headlights are really ugly. Ricey headlights
You can use HID with the OEM headlights, many of those projector headlights use a foglight bulb as the main headlight bulb. Which means you'd need an expensive foglight HID. Just get HID for your OEM housings.

thats a very closed minded opinion. vision corners are rice, and dont try to deny it, because if thats your opinion, then they are.
but hes getting them for HID's so try to help him out. hes looking for a good projector housing. and i just happen to like the 1 piece black one.

Thats great, I dont have Visions. I have all OEM lights. Vision corners not as ricey as clear corners with hyperwhites and the cheap looking black housing **** when you can paint the OEM stuff yourself.

i wasnt trying to hate, the guy just asked a simple question. everyone has their own opinion on how their car should look. so just try to help the guy out.do you know what the best housing would be for an HID setup?
I have the second and third(them beeing the same) just in black, there would not be room hot hid's to be custom fited cose the lens (magnifying glass) is to close to the bulb plus wery litle backspace, they take h3 so they are slamed to the cover when shut..

In that case your comment about his opinion being 'closed minded' was not really needed since everyone has opinions, right? What makes one opinion better than the another?

The OEM headlights do have all those lines and out put isn't perfect but far better then regular lighting or using aftermarket projectors.
Not the most ideal way is to do a reto fit from a car equipped with HID's and fit the OEMHID projector in your headlights (Do a search on user ill phill).
I preferr'd to do it this way because I didn't want to deal with taking apart headlight housing etc.
The exact same lights that junek9 poste but I didn't want black housing.
I have shields that came with the lights so one of the reasons the beam looks so narrow in that pic is because there are the shields from the headlight units and for the HID kit I purchased....in the process of rectifying that situation this weekend.
And a poor excuse to ***** htis post with a pic of my car:

http://www.procarparts.com. They are called Eurostyle headlights. (lol I hate that terminology....almost like saying euro clears or euro tailights).
TYC is suppoed to coming out with the same type of light and their quality is top notch. I just couldn't wait any longer.
The lights fit like OEM and they are glass, not plastic.

Do NOT use HIDs in the above projectors (except maybe TYC which use H1 bulbs - I have NO personal experience with 'em) I have been there done that with VERY disappointing results - due to the cheap projectors which are MADE for h3 bulbs (ie fog lights) that cast the light wide & dispursed - I also had VERY crooked cutoffs. Your OEM housings are less than desireable because the lenses are fluted (not clear)
stick with Apex_i_ITR's setup or make your own retrofit with OEM HID projectors in either one of the projectors above (replacing the actual projector inside) see here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=495898
If you go non-projector (like apex_i) make sure you use a casper shield see bottom of this page http://www.casperselectronics....e.cgi - which allows you to use standard OEM d2s/d2r HID bulbs in a h4 housing

What are you saying - it sounds like you don't have ANY first hand knowledge of hids in projectors - try to edit your post so I can understand what your are saying. I had HIDs that fit & BTW hids run cooler than stock halogens (35watts compared to 55watts) you need to understand what you are talking about BEFORE you try to give advice -

i have retroed projectors into my stock housings, unfortunately the lenses were fluted being tha tthere are no aftermarket headlights available. i agree that the best way was to have non fluted lenses but i tried anyways
my cutoff line isnt horrible but you can definately see some glare above, but nothing blinding. i guess it would depend on how badly your lenses are fluted to really **** with the lights diffusion.
i'm still happy with the results considering fluted lenses. the cutoff in the thread above isnt as bad as what the picture depicts. i just need to adjust the camera settings and take it with a tripod.
please dont torch me
