Default should I not race because of axle???

the boot ripped recently (about 500 miles ago) on the inner joint of the drivers side axle. I am supposed to go to the track this weekend for the first time. I am running a 92 DA LS/VTEC. Do i have to worry about the axle breaking, will it be weaker?? if it is ok to race how do you suggest i launch??

If the boot broke you may leak out your grease or contaminate your bearings. Pull them down inspect regrease and replace boot.
