Good job, Richard! I didn't even get a ride in it . Good luck on the rebuild. What are your plans for internals?

Not to knock you but that wastgate placment is horrible. That's probably how you blew it. I would really advise changing that manifold. I would make a new one with the wastegate getting all the gases from all cylinders. Dead in the middle. And get hondata to get a real tune out of it.

Thats why I thank god I have hondata. I had a wastegate line come off and hondata shut my boost off at around 18psi. Happened to me twice so far.

I use the jdm zipties, no lines falling off here

Simple mistakes can be costly, good luck on the new setup and yeah get a new manifold

what exactly happens when hondata "shuts off boost" and how does it do so?

Good job on the manny. I for one know how hard it is to do something like that. I'd suggest getting a real air filter over your turbo intake. Experience has taught me that its very easy to bend/crack turbo blades. Mess up their alignment or structure and things get nasty at 150,000 rpm's. My friends motor had some compressor blades for lunch one day.

oh, it was pullin like a ****, my buddy was like, "damn this thing pulls hard," and instantly....bang, boom....oooops

as for manifold, i think im gonna go with the full-race a/c compatible if i get some money rounded up!
