Default Question about the R LSD....

Hi guys...This might be a stupid question, but who cares...I just wanna know...Does the Type R LSD use the same oil as the transmission? I mean is the LSD housed in a separate location from the transmission? Or is the LSD and tranmission connected together? Damm..I feel stupid asking this, but i gotta know..thanks guys..

Actually the LSD is inside the transmission assembly and thus share the oil. The front differential always shares oil with the transmission, be it FWD or AWD application.

The stock LSD requires no special oil. Use Honda MTL, Amsoil, or BG Synchroshift. If you upgrade to a clutch Type You have to use a little heavier gear oil.
