Toyo RA1's are great for road racing.. they last long on the track (compared to other R-compound tires) If you plan to daily drive them, I dont know what to tell you.. I doubt they'll last as long as you're led to believe.

These are not street tires, they are R-compounds. If you want a Toyo street tire, get the T1S.

Don't know, never used them.

I've used Falken Azenis, Kumho 711, Kumho 712, Bridgestone S-02, Bridgestone S-03, Sumitomo Srixon4, Goodyear Eagle GT2, OEM Shitelins, and various R-compounds. Never used any Toyos.

They are ok. Very good grip, fairly long life and excellent water handling. But they have a relatively soft sidewall. Actually much softer than that of the Azenis or S0-3s. I think that if I had the choice, I'd get azenis...

I believe the T1S was the spec tire for SCCA Speed World Challenge Touring cars and for SCCA Spec Miatas this year. Next year they both will be switching to the RA1 R-compound.

Ask in the autocross forum for some opinions on the T1S, there certainly must be a few guys who have used them in there.

I use RA-1`s and the T1-S. RA-1`s are excellent on the track, but very streetable. Trust me, I know. T1-s are a little pricey, but an excellent street/track tire in all conditions.
