h22 rods/pistons in a h23???
Ok here's the story. I just got off the phone with ARI and they said they can get some custom eagle rods and je pistons for 875 for my h23. My question is, With h22 rods will i have to use h22 or h23 pistons? Also what would have to be customized on these pistons?? I'm lookin to keep around 9.5:1 compresson
well i was gonna buy those from you then i got a email about a special goin on at wiredspeedlab saying that i can get eagle rods for about 300. then i can get pistons 475.
I'm just trying to keep my options open.

you can't use an H22a rod on an h23a crank cause it's too long...the piston will stick out of the deck.
You have to match crank and rods. The pistons are interchangeable as they have the same compression height. H22a rods on an H23a crank need a custom piston.

The wrist pin would have to be closer to the dome to compensate for the longer rod.

Damn that's a good price. I think i'll go with the 850 one though in about a month or so.

well for about 3g's you can have a complete bottom end built for an h23
by golden eagle, sleeves, crower rods, je pistons, crank balanced
and micropolished. the works.
that's how i'm gonna do it

what is scat? for five bucks more you can get eagles... those i know are at least decent!

scat as in scat crankshafts. They are a domestic company that's been in the high performance industry for the past 35 years. Their rods are 4340 forged h-beam rods with arp bolts.
Here's a pic of there rods.
