Default ok since sfp wont answer my question maybe someone knows....

I have been researching manifolds deciding which one i want to invest my money into and have success with.....its down to maxrev and sfp and i have emailed both companies and i still havent gotten a response after a week of waiting......now a question i have about sfp is they have a 3 year warranty on cracking, so say it cracks in 2.75 years and i send it back for a new one, when my new one comes does it have a fresh new 3 year warranty? also what kind of success has anyone had with sfp? service good? quality? performance? basically im down to my final week of decision making and just want some feedback on sfp or is maxrev better (does anyone know if maxrev has a warranty?)......its for my turbo'd d16 im redoing my setup with a new manifold and 2.5" dp but im looking for any advice from anyone who has experience with these manifolds that can help with my decision....thanks

ususally your warranty isnt extended with a replacement product...

Also, chances are, that they would fix your mani not replace it, but they might....

I also believe with the SFP manifolds that once you tap it for EGT your
warranty on it cracking is void.

thats how I work....you cant possibly make any money just sending manifolds out if something were to crack. Plus, if I had a crack, I would like to see the manifold, analyze it, improve on it so that it would not crack ever again.

You can have SFP tap it for egt and warranty is still good. of course if anyone alters a product with warranty it would void.

Hi there RexSiT3. I'm Scott from SFP. I emailed you back the morning I came into work and got your message. Here is a copy.

SFP does offer a full 3 year warranty on manifolds with no questions asked. The only stipulation is that you have to use a flex section in your downpipe and take pictures of your manifold on the car if it's cracked along with a picture of the downpipe with flex section. The flex is required so that the turbo and manifold don't see an excessive amount of strain when the motor torques. As for the rollover warranty, it's 3 years from the original date of purchase to the original purchaser. That means no extension on warranties or second hand owner warranties.

Maybe your email didn't receive it properly or mine didn't send it properly but it was just pasted from my sent items folder.

Thanks for your inquiry both then and now.

Also remember that our street manifolds retain A/C and power steering for a T3/T4, T3, T28, or Mitsu turbo. (14B, 16G, etc...)

SFP's b series manifolds are good, but their H series suck because they fit like ***.

Hmm that's strange. We've sold hundreds of those H22A manifolds and we cannot think of one complaint we've had yet about fitment issues. Additionally we have about 6 H22A turbo cars here now all with our manifold on them now. Unless you're refering to using the T04E series compressor housing where you have to trim the front middle lower mount a bit for clearance. But it's that or have the manifold hit the hood or radiator fan. We currently in our shop right now have 2 EG hatches with H22A turbo, 1 Prelude with H22A turbo, and 2 Accords with H22A turbo in them. All with no fitment issues at all.

WHy does SFP not offer a 321 series alloy turbo manifold for the d16 motors? All I can find is 1010 mild steel, which in my experience doesen't hold up well at 1800+ degrees F.

SFP was my choice, B-series race manifold. This is my second SFP manifold. No problems on either except for the color change after a month or so . It gets the job done!
